How to ride a bike
It can be kind of scary to ride a bike for the first time, because it seems like there's nothing to keep you balanced. Don't be scared, once you're going forward it's actually pretty difficult for you to fall over unless you're going slowly or suddenly swerve to the side. This is because of complicated sciencey reasons like "gyroscopic torque" (whatever that means). Anyway the point is once you get moving you're not going to fall over, but if you're still worried about this, you can practice on grass. It will hurt less to fall down and the extra friction will stop you from going unexpectedly fast.

Once you've found a nice grassy place to practice, the best thing to do is take your pedals off. You can do this with a pedal wrench. Align the wrench with the pedal's arm and make sure both are parallel to the ground. Crank the wrench clockwise on the left pedal and anti clockwise on the right pedal. Once the pedals are off lower the seat so you can touch the ground properly. Tada! you've got yourself a balance bike!! Now all you have to do is scoot along the ground like a toddler and practice getting your balance.

Push yourself along the ground, lifting your feet up and practice balancing . If you start to feel like you're going to fall just put your feet down. For longer and longer periods of time. After you start to feel confident you can move on to the next step. Reattatch the pedals and grab a friend to help. Get your friend to hold on on to your bicycle seat or waist or whatever feels comfortable. Scoot along the ground a couple time to gain some momentum. Put your feet on the pedals and start pedaling. After a couple rounds of theis get your friend to let go after a couple meters. Yaaay!! You can do it!!!
Did you know?

3 times as many people get injured in car crashes as they do in biking.
